Tucker is so smart! He has already learned to sit, lay down and roll over. He loves to play with us, and is completely comfortable with Paul and Nick now. He is eating his regular food, but does he ever love his hardboiled egg yolk! He licks the bowl clean every time. I let Nick give it to him in the morning, to encourage their bonding, and Tucker runs in circles until Nick sets the bowl down for him!
I have to thank you again for doing such a wonderful job socializing and litterbox training Tucker. He has been so easy since the get-go, and is just a terrific addition to the family. Audrey brings him downstairs in the morning, and he greets each of us as we come downstairs -- he is just so excited to have the attention!
Audrey and I have taken turns giving him his bath, and he seems to like it -- thank goodness!
We have finally decided on his formal name; thanks for your patience with that. Although we will still call him "Tucker", we will register him as "Bella Dulce Lustrous Tucker", a nod to his original name which we thought very appropriate for him. He seems to still be retaining his color, but we will see what happens when he blows his puppy coat.
I am attaching some pictures taken last week. None can compare to the fabulous one you sent us at 9 weeks, but he just would not hold still for us very often!
Hope you are all well. If you are ever in our area, please come visit!

Kazoo is clearly loved by his family!
Hi Jackie,
So nice to hear from you. We are all doing great. Kazoo is happy and healthy. What a really sweet dog!!! We love him. I'dl be happy to be a reference for you. You can have anyone contact me. We really feel that you breed such wonderful dogs. Kazoo is gentle and loving and we couldn't ask for a better dog. So thank you, again! I even recommended you to a friend here in our town and she just contacted you about one of your puppies. God bless the new little ones coming. I will send an updated photo of Kazoo soon, as most of them are still on my camera card and not on my computer yet.
Warm wishes,
Lisa
Fritz
Hi Jackie,
Fritz turns 1 year old today! I do not know where the time went. He is as cute as ever and we are so blessed to have him!
Thank you for all that you do to keep this breed healthy! What a special day it is, Marilyn
Hi, Jackie,
Happy New Year to you and your family! I hope that you had a great Christmas holiday. We did, although it was pretty crazy with a new puppy! We had many visitors, so the pup got to meet many people!
I wanted to let you know that Super dog is doing great! He is so much fun and has settled right in with our family. He cried just a little bit the first night up in our room, but after that he was fine. He is now sleeping in the pen in our kitchen and is perfectly happy there. Kate has taught him to sit, lay down, wait/stay and come. He is very smart! :)
Super Dog went the the vet and got a clean bill of health (not that I didn't expect it!). He was at the groomer yesterday just to get used to the process. He did great! They didn't cut him - they just gave him a bath and blow dry and trimmed his feet and eybrows. We can see his eyes now! :)
Thanks again for giving him such a great start. He is doing great and is lots of fun. We are getting settled into a routine, so things are a little easier. It's like having a baby again!
Hope you are doing well!
Michelle
Henry
Hi Jackie. Henry is doing great! He has been an absolute delight. The ride home on Friday was very smooth-no issues at all. He ate right away-about 1pm. Noam went right out and bought a pen for nighttime in Lila's room. He has been 100% reliable with the litterbox, and every time we take him outside in the backyard to play he goes to the bathroom outside too! The first night he whimpered for about 20 minutes and then slept all night. The second night he whined on and off for about an hour and then slept all night again. Last night he whimpered for only 2 minutes and then settled down until morning.
He has been so easy we bought baby gates for our kitchen and in the next few days are considering letting him have access to the whole kitchen.
The girls love showering him with attention. They are getting used to the mouthing and teething. The only problem is that he doesn't seem to mind the taste of bitter apple. We are just teaching them to offer a toy to chew instead and to say "ouch" and immediately stop playing with him if he nips them.
Noam is at the vet with him right now for his first checkup.
So all in all, I am pinching myself--no one (myself included) can believe our new puppy has had no potty accidents in the house and has not once woken us in the night. He is a dream!
Andrea
Jackie,
I just wanted to update you and your kids with the latest on Henry. He is doing quite well on all fronts, and has become a valued and loved member of our family. He has steadily gained size, and is around 8 lbs now (I think). He has run through the full cycle of distemper/parvo and rabies and also was neutered. All without any problems or complications. He is very good with the girls, barks appropriately at strangers but then calms down when he is recognized and sees that all is well.
As you can see in the attached photo, he is quite loving with the girls, and his attachment to Lila is quite clear (the feeling is mutual). He sleeps in her room, in a crate, but can wander around the room at night if he chooses. He also has remained litter box trained, but prefers going outside for larger deposits (something we appreciate and are happy to indulge him in). The other photo of him is post-doggie salon. He normally does not wear a bandana.
He has a very enjoyable and funny habit of playing with his toys, of flinging them with his mouth across the room. He also enjoys flipping over his bed with his nose – over and over again. He is a real pleasure – lots of fun to play with, very happy dog. We are very lucky.
Most of all, we get lots of compliments on him and the breed, and we are always happy to sing your praises. Best of luck to you, and give our love to Lily and all your other pups.
Best,
Noam
Ava
Hi Jackie. Hope you are well and life is treating you kindly. Thought I'd drop a note on the occasion of Ava's first birthday (yesterday) to let you know how fabulously she's doing and what joy she has brought to our lives. Ava is an utterly lovable pup and so intelligent; she has already learned a host of tricks including playing dead when I point my fingers at her like a gun and say "bang". It's too adorable. We have a wonderful trainer with whom she stays when we travel. The trainer also has a havanese who is Ava's favorite playmate. Leo and I can't believe it's been almost a year, it's flown by so fast and Ava is a fixture in the family. Best regards, Annette
