Bella Dulce Charlotte & Bella Dulce de Nobleza had puppies on November 14th, 2016.
Charlotte & Noble had puppies on November 14th, 2016.
When Charlotte was a puppy, she quickly became our niece's favorite dog in the house. She has made it a point to bring her special gifts over the years. She made a request when Charlotte was still a puppy that if she was kept in our breeding program, she would choose the temporary puppy names for Charlotte first litter. We have been planning this special litter for almost two years. Our niece has chosen character names from the movie 'Frozen'.
Charlotte is absolutely wonderful with the puppies. She is very calm and relaxed with the puppies. She watches over them and observes us closely when we handle them. She is not overly thrilled when we weight each puppy daily because they are removed from the whelping box for a few seconds. She sleeps with them, nestles them, and cleans them with such devotion.
She observed as we took photographs.
The puppies are three weeks old. Their favorite activities ... nursing and sleeping! Charlotte is absolutely wonderful with the puppies. She watches over them, sleeps with them, and cleans them with such devotion.
The puppies have opened their eyes, are getting steady with walking, and beginning to attempt to play with toys and each other.
The puppies have completed the "Super Dog" program, the early neurological stimulation for newborn puppies developed by Dr. Carmen Battaglia. They are exposed to classical music, Suzuki violin, children's music, and 'Puppy Sounds' throughout the day.
Anna and Elsa
Charlotte watches over Elsa and Anna.
The pups are five weeks old. They have both grown and developed tremendously since last week. They spend the day in the family room with our children and our adult dogs. All our adult dogs visit the pups often in the family room. The pups were introduced to homemade food which they reluctantly tasted and decided that they prefer nursing. They are all doing beautifully with using the Potty Park and Ugo box. The puppies continue listening to classical music, holiday music, puppy sounds (although it is not necessary with our busy household), children's music, and various radio stations. They both experienced having their nails filed with a Dremel.
Anna surprised us by doing a little sprint late last week. Anna and Elsa have both mastered their balance on all four feet, run when they want to get from one area to the other in their puppy pen, play with toys, and play growl with each other.
Our absolute favorite time with them is when they are put to bed in the whelping box in their bedroom. We sit with them and play with toys, place them belly up while talking to them (usually telling each puppy how beautiful she is :o) ), and play hide and seek with their toys. They are both very sweet puppies.
Anna and Elsa
The pups are seven weeks old. Charlotte has done an excellent job at beginning the weaning process for them. They are quickly learning to eat 'big doggie' food, are very reliable with the potty, and love to play with the 'big' dogs. January, our one year old puppy from Faith & Posh is typically described by everyone that meets her as the "life of the party". She is Anna & Elsa's best playmate since enjoys playing with the puppies and typically tries her best to introduce them to a bit of mischief. The puppies have met and interacted with our Doberman puppy, Kalysta. It provides them the opportunity to interact with a large breed. Charlotte continues to be a wonderful mother to the puppies. She still spends a lot of time with them and still allows them to nurse on occasion. Anna and Elsa each have at least a few teeth. They love to play on agility equipment. They all like toys and run after squeaky, rolling balls. They have been a true joy for us!
